LEICESTER MARQUEE HIRE

frequently asked questions

  • Why choose Leicester Marquee Hire?

We have been in the business for over 25 years and have experience in both personal and business events. The Quality, Value and Service we provide are what our reputation is built around. We provide a FREE consultation and no obligation quote.

  • Which areas do you cover?

We cover a huge area approximately within a 100 mile radius of Leicester including Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. During the out of season months of November through to March we are willing to travel that bit further.

If we are unable to cover your area we can put you in touch with other reputable marquee hire companies around England.

  • Which type of events can marquees be hired for?

Leicester Marquee Hire covers any type of outdoor event including weddings, parties, corporate, hospitality, exhibitions, county shows, sporting, charity, religious and bereavement.

  • Do you cater for events during the winter months?

Yes, we provide a service all year round. Our clear span marquees can be erected in severe weather and for your comfort we recommend a powerful blower heater to warm those cold days.

  • Do you provide a site visit?

Yes, we will be happy to visit your site for a free no obligation quote. This allows us to determine the right marquee for your event and discuss any other requirements you may have.

  • Which size marquees do you have?

    The smallest marquee is 2m x 2m (6’ 6” x 6’ 6”). The largest marquee is 9m x 54m (30’ x 177’).

  • Can a marquee be used as an extension on my home?

Yes, we can erect a marquee adjoining your home.

  • Will the marquee damage my lawn?

No, but if you are having many people attending the event, then the entrances and exits are likely to become soggy. The grass usually grows back to normal within a few weeks. It is best that the grass be cut at its lowest setting two to three days prior to the erection of the marquee

  • Do your marquees have any poles in the middle to support the structure?

No, all our marquees are clear span and framed but if there is a need for pole marquee (traditional) we could arrange one for your event.

  • Can I have a marquee on sloping ground?

Yes, we have marquees with extending legs.

  • Can I decorate the marquee myself?

It is entirely your choice. All we ask is that string is used to decorate the marquee with lining as opposed to staples and sticky tape.

  • How far in advance should I book?

The rule of thumb here is the sooner the better. Spring\Summer are our busiest periods, so to avoid disappointment it is best to book as soon as you know your event date(s). If you've left it late, it's still worth contacting us as we may be able to fulfil your request.

  • When do you require payment?

To secure your booking a 25% deposit is required. The remaining 75% is payable 14 days prior to the event fitting day.

  • What happens in the event of a cancellation?

In the unfortunate event of you needing to cancel, the following compensation rates will be charged:

100% of the hire price for notice less than 7 days prior to the hire period.

75% of the hire price for notice between 7 - 30 days prior to the hire period.

25% of the hire price for greater than 30 days notice prior to the hire period.

  • Am I insured?

We have full public liability cover; however the marquee and equipment remain the hirer’s responsibility.

  • Why are prices not displayed on your website?

Factors such as the site location, accessibility to the site and travel time differ from person to person. For these reasons, prices are not displayed on the website.
